It’s alive! Buried deep in the Siberian permafrost scientists found a ‘giant virus’ that has been asleep for 30,000 years. Named Pithovirus sibericum, it contains 500 genes and was revived in the lab. The researchers are now trying to assess if ancient viruses such as this one could pose a threat for humans. via Science Alert/fb
Let’s hope this wasn’t the stupidest thing we’ve ever done.
there are about 16046540210 movies that explain exactly why this could be the stupidest thing we’ve ever done
I just want to set the basis of what I think about the Woody Allen thing.
I am literally unable to know anything for sure, because I am a stranger to that family and I can asure absolutely nothing about that man or his children and ex wife. I don’t have an opinion about it. I let the justice and law decide, because we vote this system we are living in. But I can say something about his work:
You’re dying of something, you need someone to save you urgently. There’s only one doctor in town, but you have a lot of things against him. Are you going to say ‘No, Doctor, stay away from me, don’t save me, you might be an awful person and I don’t want you to make me feel better’?
Woody Allen’s work is composed by masterpiece after masterpiece, and I’m sure it helped lots of people on the struggle with many of the issues he talks about in his films. I’m not saying this to defend him, because I don’t have a formed opinion about this huge mess. I’m saying this because Woody Allen’s work is really, really significant and important to some people, including myself, and I feel perfectly fine with him continuing making wonderful movies, just the way he always did. If he actually is a monster, just let him continue doing the only human thing he can do for sure.
